UPDATE: As of the 27th of June, 2013, this extension is no longer supported since I'm taking a break from using WaniKani. It should still work, though, (which is why I just don't simply remove it) but it won't exactly use the latest API features.
Tired of constantly mashing that poor F5 button to see if you have new reviews available at WaniKani (http://www.wanikani.com)?
No? Well, if you change your mind, this here extension regularly checks the website to see if there are any new reviews available. If so, it notifies you via a, you guessed it, notification and an optional sound jingle. Both can be changed in the options page.
Clicking the notification or the toolbar button takes you directly to the review page. When you're done reviewing it automatically resets your review count.
