So instead of waiting for companies to remove these metrics, I created this extension that does it for you. If enough people will install it, it will be like these metrics don't really exist. It will be like an ad-blocker for vanity stats.
The extension removes the following - number of likes and followers a user/page has and the number of likes and shares a tweet/post received. The extension keeps the number of comments, because well, how much discussion a post has is still important...
The affect this extension can have on yourself is huge - you'll stop judging posts, pages and people by the numbers they have and instead judge the content and if you like it or not. Insane, right?
