là một dạng cải cách từ trò chơi Tiến lên miền Nam. Luật chơi và cách chơi giống nhau nhưng khác nhau ở chỗ kết thúc ván bài một lượt chơi. Ở Tiến lên miền Nam thì một người thắng (hết bài) thì những người còn lại tiếp tục chơi để phân định thắng thua tiếp theo nhưng Tiến lên đếm lá thì khi có một người hết bài trước thì những người khác hết lượt chơi và kết thúc ván bài.
Luật chơi
Game sử dụng bộ bài tây 52 lá. Một ván chơi của Game bài Tiến lên miền Nam đếm lá có từ 2 tới 4 người chơi. Ban đầu mỗi người chơi sẽ được chia 13 lá bài. Ván đầu tiên sẽ chọn ngẫu nhiên người đánh trước để đảm bảo công bằng. Từ ván thứ 2 trở đi, người nào thắng ván trước sẽ được đi trước. Nếu người thắng ván trước thoát khỏi bàn hoặc bàn chỉ còn người thắng thì ván tiếp theo sẽ được coi là ván đầu tiên.
Mỗi người chơi phải cố gắng đánh hết các lá bài trên tay một cách nhanh nhất có thể. Người chơi hết bài đầu tiên sẽ là người chiến thắng chung cuộc và cũng là người chiến thắng duy nhất!
