Description

Powerful and yet super simple Unread Emails Counter for Gmail.
NEW: new material interface, which google rolls out to all users is supported:
just activate it in the settings! (Note: it's updated version of the old full interface.)

It uses super modern MOBILE interface from Google.

No options! Just install it and you are ready!

Navigate Gmail in your browser and authorize if not already.

You'll see a badge with a count of unread emails.
You'll hear a pleasant sound when new messages are arrived into your inbox within the last minute.
You possibly won't see desktop notifications, I'm working on it.

Clicking on the icon will open a tab with Compact Gmail view or focus on the tab if it's already open.

Badge states:
"auth" - user is not authorized. Click on the icon and authorize your account.
"offline" - network problems.
"err" - error in extension. I wrote it pretty much bullet proof, but things happen. I don't save or send any usage data, so if you get this contact me directly on facebook and be ready to let me debug the extension on your PC/Mac.

Polling time is 60 seconds.
No support for multiple accounts.
Sound is being played by default.
Creating new emails without attachments is possible.
Floating panel with selected email actions and inside of an email overlaps the top bar.


Reasons:
another extensions are either obsolete or bloated with over 9000 features which you actually never use.
This extension is super compact and neither uses any heavy libraries nor renders pieces of gmail in a slow popup.
The other 2 extensions with popups cannot correctly render on retina displays on windows, so I'm here to help you :)
