Chrome té la seva pròpia pestanya i només permet canviar-ho instal·lant una petita extensió. Aquesta extensió et configura automàticament www.inici.info al obrir una "nova pestanya" (Ctrl+T). Així tindràs una pàgina per cercar per Internet més productiva.
Inici.info cerca a Google per defecte i permet cercar directament mapes, imatges, la Viquipèdia, el teu correu de Gmail, el calendari, Evernote, música, rutes (wikiloc), consultar el temps... i molt més.
Aquesta extensió no llegeix les teves dades o contrasenyes, ni necessita cap permís especial. Si es vol treure només cal desactivar o eliminar l'extensió des del menú extensions de Chrome o posant manualment "chrome://extensions" a la barra de dalt de cerca.
No es crea cap icona, si vols una icona a la barra existeix una extensió específica "Inici.info - Icona" http://goo.gl/tTcF77
L'extensió modifica únicament la "nova pestanya" però no la pàgina d'inici del navegador Chrome (pàgina HOME). Es pot fer manualment posant "chrome:settings" a la barra de cerca (o anar al menú configuració de Chrome) i establint la pàgina d'inici com http://www.inici.info.
