TypingClub is the most effective way to learn how to type.
It is based on the Internet and is very effective. TypingClub (and will always be) is available for individuals as well as for schools. There is an additional paid school edition.
Parents should know that TypingClub is a very attractive site where children can learn to touch (using all the fingers to type the keyboard without looking at the keys). From the basic lessons in lower case letters to the use of capital, numbers and even symbols, almost every aspect of the standard keyboard. The site is safe for young children, since there are no social functions. The directions are relatively simple, and the launch is very simple. However, some younger children may need help in understanding the terminology such as "touch-typing" and "words-per-minute".
Practice each lesson again and again to at least get all three stars. In fact, you do not need to learn much to touch, a few minutes a day for one to two weeks, and you will become a professional!
