Spectacular views have become one of the main criteria when picking travel destinations, which turned Instagram into a major supplier of beautiful travel shots from all over the world.
Having decided where I am going to head for another travel, I start making a list of must-visit places. The best way to make sure you are not going to miss anything important is to look through the most popular touristic and travel accounts and hashtags. For instance, while preparing for my trip through Albania, I looked through @around__albania, @albania.tourism and #visitalbania and #travelalbania hashtags.
Building a travel route this way is interesting and fun, but you will apparently come across two main obstacles: 1) popular locations and hashtags are swamped with spam and 2) there is no option on Instagram to pin pictures from your “Favourites” section to the world map.
That is why I created Geoify.me, a simple but extremely useful app which imports images from your Instagram’s "Saved" and carefully places them on the map. When you finally have all the hot spots and places pics right in front of you, creating a dream route becomes even less that simple!
So add pictures you like to the “Favourites”, upload them to Geoify.me using a plug-in and have fun!
