WAS?
Das Tool/Addon gibt dir die Möglichkeit verdächtige Links und Dateien auf Viren/Phishing und Malware zu überprüfen bevor du sie ansurfst oder startest.

WARUM?
Ich brauchte es für mich selbst und lasse nun alle daran teilhaben

WIE?
Das Tool/Plugin prüft einen manuell eingegebenen Link/Webseite
unter Zuhilfenahme von diversen blacklists, der google safebrowsing api
und dem clamav virus scanner auf unserem sicheren Server

Auf der Webseite ist es ebenfalls möglich eine verdächtige Datei
zu überprüfen (zum Tagen kommen hier der clamav virus scanner und eine Schnittstelle zu virustotal.com API, die Dateien anhand ihres Hashwertes (nicht des Inhaltes überprüft).

Privatsphäre?
- Das Addon check NICHT automatisch besuchte Seiten
- Das Addon prüft nur auf deinen Wunsch.
- Alle Uploads und Checks werden SSL-verschlüsselt übertragen
- Keine hochgeladenen Dateien werden gespeichert (nur für die Sekunde des Scannens)
- Keine hochgeladenen Dateien werden eingesehen oder Dritten zugänglich gemacht
- Alles in Allem: wir respektieren deine Privatsphäre!

WHAT?
With this tool you can check suspicious links or files for known Viruses/Malware/Blacklistings before your browse or open it.

WHY?
I needed it for myself and shared it to the world.

HOW?
This tools checks
a given link by using
- blacklists
- google safebrowsing api
- clamav virus scanner and maybe other anti-virus engines

a given file by using
- clamav virus scanner and maybe other anti-virus engines
- virustotal.com API (by checking the file hash for known threats)

PRIVACY?
- This Add-on does NOT continuously check the sites you browse.
- It only checks if you want it to do so.
- This Add-on does NOT store, share your personal data
(the links you want to scan may be transfered to external tools)
- Everything is securely transfered via SSL
- NO uploaded file will be stored (only for the seconds of scanning)
- NO uploaded file will be viewed or shared by any person
