Carmelo Anthony, nicknamed Melo, is an American basketball player born on May 29, 1984 in Brooklyn. He plays for the NBA franchise of the Oklahoma City Thunder as a hauler.
During his university career, Carmelo Anthony leads the Syracuse Orange to their first NCAA championship title.
Third-placed Denver Nuggets in 2003 NBA draft, considered one of the best with four Olympic champions, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Anthony, and many NBA participants All-Star Game, he joined after eight seasons at the Nuggets, the New York Knicks in 2011.
Carmelo Anthony is the only American basketball player to have four Olympic appearances with the national team, a bronze medal in 2004 and three titles in 2008, 2012 and 2016 - another record for a basketball player. He is the best scorer, the best rebounder and the player with the most games played in the history of the American team at the Games.
He is one of the best NBA wingers in the 2000s and 2010s with LeBron James and Kevin Durant, ahead of him for the title of scoring leader of the 2012-2013 season.
