New Leaf is a plugin for Chrome and Edge Beta that launches whenever you visit an Amazon product page website; it will suggest a few environmentally friendly products based on the item you’re viewing on Amazon, and it will show you a picture, a general price range, and link to the eco-friendly alternative.
We wanted to encourage people to think more about the choices they make in their daily life, starting with the products they buy. As the ease of access to online stores such as Amazon increases, it is too easy to prioritize simply finding and buying an item without considering the global impact of that purchase. This problem is compounded by the fact that there aren’t many one-stop-shops for eco-friendly merchandise, placing the onus for locating green products on the consumer. We believe that if people were provided with information on environmentally-friendly alternatives in a clean and easy-to-navigate way, they would be more likely to invest in those alternatives. New Leaf makes that process as easy as possible, showing the user sustainably sourced and produced options for whatever they want to buy.

Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
