Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a fantastic American-British film directed by David Yates, released in November 2016 at the cinema. This is a series derived from the Harry Potter saga that will be followed by four other films. J. K. Rowling writes for this film his first cinematographic scenario.
For this one, Fantastic Animals is not a prequel to the adventures of Harry Potter, but an "extension of the world of sorcerers" for people who have known the Harry Potter saga. It is indeed a derivative series, focusing on several secondary characters mentioned or present in the history of Harry Potter, like Gellert Grindelwald, Norbert Dragonneau or Albus Dumbledore2, and developing a related sub-universe.
