Paint.NET - The Paint.NET graphics editor has a well-thought-out interface and significant functionality compared to the standard MS Paint editor from the Windows package. A similar functionality has perhaps that Adobe PhotoShop. Paint.NET was created by students of Washington State University (Washington State University) under the strict guidance of Microsoft experts.
Among the most remarkable features of the program are an impressive library of special effects and filters, easy extensibility using third-party modules, the ability to manipulate image layers, scaling from 1% to 3200%, working with a scanner and a camera, and many other functions - including "anti-aliased "tools, blur, remove red eye, etc.
Work with the image as a whole
In the Image menu, you will find the standard items for resizing an image or canvas, as well as for rotating the entire image. For some reason, in this menu there is an item for merging layers.
Work with layers in Paint.NET
Layer structure is displayed in the usual lower right corner. Paint.NET You can create a new layer, move layers relative to each other, merge layers, assign transparency to a layer, rotate and move a layer. For convenience, functions for working with layers are available both in the layers panel and in the Layers menu.
Paint.NET Photo Correction
I will list the operations available from the Correction menu: Levels (including autotune), Color Invert, Curves, Coarseness, Hue and Saturation, Transition to Black and White or Sepia, Brightness and Contrast.
I will note that the entire active layer is subjected to correction (as well as the effect), if there is no active selection, or a selected area of the active layer.
Paint effects
Many preset effects. It is possible to install effects from plugins. Among the pre-installed ones there is sharpness, vignetting, luminosity ... There are many effects of blurring and styling. More distortion effects. Paint There are artistic effects to make a photo look like an oil, pencil or ink painting. Noises can be added as an effect. There are even fractal effects.
