Description

RemoteDash My Tracks Geotagger is a free web application that accesses data from your Google Drive. The data are geotagged or regular photos that you can take with a mobile phone or other camera and GPS tracks (i.e. KML, KMZ, or GPX files) that you can log with most of the better mobile phone GPS tracking and logging applications. A typical usage would be that you turn your mobile phone app on at the start of your day and take pictures. At the end of the day you turn the app off and the tracking and photo data are either manually or automatically uploaded to your Google Drive. RemoteDash then automatically accesses this data from your Drive and displays and organizes it on a map in a way that helps you document and relive your experiences. We tried to make it easy and not complicated. We hope you find it that way.

My Tracks Geotagger is also a very good way of saving and displaying your GPS tracks that do not contain photos. The tracks are organized in a calendar and with tables. Also, any track can be edited from its original form. This is useful when the track contains too much track data, which is often the case when you forget to turn your tracker off after an activity. My Tracks also lets you merge tracks together which is convenient when you have a lot of consecutive tracks from activities like week long hikes or road trips.

My Tracks does not require that you install a particular GPS application on your mobile phone. We can use any GPS app that stores files in GPX,KMZ, or KML format which is most of the good ones. However, we recommend Geo Tracker from Google Play if you have an Android phone. We've found that Geo Tracker is very similar to the old Google My Tracks, and stores speed, heading and altitude in the kmz files. Many apps do not store all this data to file.

You don't have to install an app at all if you want. We map all the photos in a Google Drive directory as one track within My Tracks. It is great for recording vacations, bike rides, hikes, runs, golf, about any outdoor activity. We also map mp4 files.

Give My Tracks a spin. It's free and we think you will find it enjoyable. You can find My Tracks at mytracks.remotedash.com or tracks.remotedash.com.

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
