Description

Coology gives Schoology a newer touch than the poorly designed weird mix of modern and early 2000s. Coology also adds more functionality by including what-if grading (inputting different grades to see the affect on total grade), accessible corresponding calendar colors, and more!

**Note: What-if grading for now only works with grades that already have a score. Complete ability to use grades without scores will be available at least by (Now May. I have been busy with school for a while) (ALL UPDATES BELOW)**

This was originally made for my school, so there may be unexpected appearance issues. Email to [email protected] the home page of your Schoology to white-list for the extension. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A ONE STAR REVIEW ASKING ME TO WHITE-LIST YOUR SCHOOLOGY.

--------------------------------PRIVACY DISCLAIMER:------------------------------

Coology DOES NOT do any of the following: change/store/track any personal data, edit history, change cache or cookies, and in no way is this a scam or something that "tracks your grades". The permissions that come up with these warnings are necessary for the extension to work, and I am unaware of any alternatives.
All the permissions that I use:
- tabs permission to use the tabs API to inject scripts into Schoology to make the extension work
- storage permission to allow the background.js and popup.js to communicate between each other when toggling on and off functionalities
- webNavigation permission to reinject the script when Schoology is reloaded
- management permission to allow the extension to ask the user to email me for the reason they uninstalled
- The urls: "*://schoology.stemk12.org/*", "*://app.schoology.com/*", "*://districtlms.seattleschools.org/*" to allow the extension to work and inject scripts under these urls.
**Note: Keep in mind that switches are used in the popup menu to turn on and off certain features of the extension requiring more permissions**
I would be happy to change any permissions if you know of a more secure work around that will not affect Coology's function. If you don't believe me you can check the documentation yourself: https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/declare_permissions

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
