For instance, say you want to think of yourself as thin and fit. You might write an affirmation like: "I see myself as thin and fit" or "I am in great shape."
But if you know that you're not really in great shape, and you don't feel thin and fit, your conscious mind won't accept that statement, and won't turn it into a new belief.
