Version 8 is available for grades 6 through 12. myPerspectives ELD Companion (myELD) provides a comprehensive solution for equipping EL students with the English Language Development tools they need to get them up to grade level with designated ELD instruction and support. myELD is the bridge to ELA and corresponding State and Common Core Standards. Differentiated instruction and practice supports all language levels and combines independent, self-paced, and teacher-led instruction. myELD is a daily digital and print instruction model that focuses on language acquisition.

The myELD Teacher and Student apps are all components of the myELD instructional system. To access the entire myELD instructional system, school districts must purchase the curriculum directly from Pearson.

- Control the number of attempts allowed for Intelligent Essay Assessor (IEA) related to Paragraph Scoring

- Automatically logs users out of the student app if left idle for a set time. The idle time is configurable for each district.

v8.8.0 contains a new feature:
- The system will now check every 30 seconds to determine if the device has lost internet connection. If the connection is lost, or is extremely slow, the student will receive a popup message and the app will try to reconnect to the internet every 3 seconds. The app will not be accessible until connectivity is restored.
- Data in progress will be retained but will not be automatically submitted or permanently saved during the internet outage. Students can resume working once the connectivity is restored.
